GENERAL INSTALLATION GUIDELINES
Surface Preparation
All surfaces are to be dry, clean free from dirt, dust, grease, oils, silicones and other contaminates. All exposed fibrous insulation should be covered by foil tape and/or matching facing tapes. All tapes should be properly secured to provide a smooth and even surface to allow an even and smooth application of Victory Clad™ jacketing. All insulation materials must be securely fastened to industry standards to prevent movement or shifting of the insulation material.
Application
Victory Clad™ jacketing is pressure sensitive and requires the use of a plastic squeegee applicator to properly activate the adhesive. Victory Clad™ requires firm and even pressure is to achieve a permanent bond. When placing the cut piece of Victory Clad™ into position, partially peel back the liner to allow correct positioning and then rub down using your hand, continue to peel back the liner while applying pressure evenly to prevent or minimize creasing and air pockets. Once the full piece has been evenly applied, use the plastic applicator to apply pressure evenly to the entire surface. Continue with your next piece of Victory Clad™ making sure you achieve a minimum of a 3" overlap on the previous piece and apply pressure to ensure a strong weatherproof seal. Victory Clad™ should be applied using standard water shed practices. Ductwork over 24" wide should be pitched to allow proper water drainage. This method is an essential part of the warranty. Detailed installation instructions are available upon request.
